- Participate as an active member of several SEMI Safety Task Force Committees
- Serves as the subject matter expert for Product safety and Energy Efficiency organization
- Regarded as the technical expert in Product Safety and detailed knowledge of the requirements located within; NFPA 79, SEMI S2, S8, S14, FM 7-7, CE Mark, KC Mark, S10 & EN 13849 Risk Assessments, EN 60204, EN 1200, UL 508A, S23/TEE
- Performs product/system safety analysis on components, subsystems, and systems. Prepares periodic and special reports in connection with engineering studies and projects
- Manage 3rd party Product Safety tool assessments and drive corrective actions within the various internal organizations
- Help to develop new standards, policies and procedures, including situations involving new substances, features and requirements for which no previous analysis work has been completed
- Evaluates the introduction of new technologies and its potential interaction with other systems
- Serves in a consultative capacity with other internal organizations.
- Has thorough understanding of global operations and requirements to effectively develop and implement safety related programs and policies.
- Manages complex and/or large-scale projects to completion by leading groups through technical expertise.
- Acts as an industry expert representing company by providing inputs to company standards or proposed industry standards in various industry forums.
- Uses subject matter expertise to establish compliance evaluation methods for products to meet industry, regional and governmental requirements
- Participates in the evaluation and analysis of concept and feasibility studies
- Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution
- Partner with design engineering on energy consumption reduction programs
- Drive product safety requirements into products during the design process to eliminate safety challenges upon product release
- Prepare, execute, and analyze data to characterize and understand safety systems
- Generate supporting documents for product safety audits including Sistema Reports, Risk Assessments, Technical Construction Files, Critical component list, Technical Reports, Block Diagrams, Safety Specifications
- Conduct internal safety reviews and training
- Knowledgeable in the use of 8D, FMEA, PHA and other investigation and assessment methods.
- Proficient in S23 data collection and data analysis
